Killing the exhilaration
Of which was once the sun
Into exodus, outro vaticus
Monoliths seethe beneath
Our snake oil salesmen
In conjunction to a megalith
Known for its charlatan ways
Which gave its status to me
Through wisdom and woe
I felt the brisk wind confront me
Decades later, you found my grasp
Now I’m inside of you
Just buying time
So let’s hide under tainted carpets
For their warmth
Sillhouettes of marauders are above
But we’ll just laugh as they pass
For they know not what they’ll do
When the curtain call is due
