i wonder what colors you would choose
it’s easy if you can’t see them inside you
they told you to look pretty
i thought you already were
they have to pay you for their own blindness
look at me instead
i'm the mirror you can have for free
the nails you bite
i believe in them because I can see
the quiet times when you are alone
thinking about next summer
how to get there
and not just being a pretty girl
but you will because you have imagined
what I already know to be true
