From Eden
I am from Eden and
The innocence I held close,
It was not lost,
But it was stolen.
A lit candle and
The only light in the dark.
It sparked a memory when
I was younger than noon.
An abandoned house and
The broken windows called.
A sweet serenity that
Was utterly distorted.
I followed him and
The flashing eruption of the sirens
Grabbed my attention.
It screamed a fair warning.
The glass gave me cuts and
He gave me a scar.
While I watched the flickering red lights
I cried in silence.
I am from Eden and
The innocence I held close,
It was not lost,
But it was stolen.
please read and enjoy...
