NM
running towards the mountains
that i know i'll never reach
my lungs are on fire,
and i'm fine with that.
the water rushes by,
the trees engulf me,
and the wildflowers bloom
to remind me that
beauty doesn't need to be
tamed.
for i am merely a speck
on this great, expansive world
and i feel so very free
in my insignificance.
