The sun so bright
She rises up
From underground
To greet the morn
Her color bright
She shows her love
But the night
Slowly runs into hiding
And when the sun realizes
That the moon has fled
She goes back down
Into her bed
And slowly the moon
Rises back up
Bringing along the stars
For the night does not love the sun
Yet around the Earth, the sun chases the moon
The sun keeps chasing the moon
Until the Earth is at rest
Until the moon loves her back
She runs in circles
Oh, the poor moon
Can't bear to break her heart
So instead he runs and hides
Running to and from each other
Each on opposite sides
