Such Wicked Love
would never be
He knew that true
but could not see

Past golden glow of
too soft skin
or
eyes that bore
the soul within

Oh,
he could fall
to her below
To touch his hand
across her brow
To walk beside her
in the light
To hold her gently
in the night

He made his choice
His arms thrown wide
to be with her
and by her side
He took that step
as time marched on
His world moved slow
Hers whirled on

He crushed his wings
against his back
and tumbled down
Into the Black
He landed softly
The pain he felt
Then wept with angst
as he knelt
in front of her
where she lay
Her life had marched on
within his day

He’d walk the earth
No wings to fly
and keen for her
Until he die

His broken wings
upon his back
He was Fallen now
could not go back
an oldie ;-)
