The sun rises everyday
It’s so beautiful to see
It’s the point of view
That gets you closer to me

The sun sets everyday
It’s so sad to see it go
Goodbye feels this good
Underneath a sacred glow

I took a hot shower
Then I was ready
For another day
To be the boy
I once knew
Not black and blue
Full of power
Without amenities
And laughter
At high noon

An elder of stained souls
There is no faithless tribe
No commerce for glory
The sun accepts no bribe

Look at it as you walk away
Did you really nod silently
At another person’s hate
Because it gave yours sanity

Take a cold shower
Take the curtain down
You can’t handle it
Passion is not the same
For fools or clowns
Not like a wanted man
Who doesn’t ask permission
The ocean is a ladder
And the rainbow swells
Are all he can see

She wasn’t so good to you
And she became every woman
He can only watch it set for another
Even the sun can break the heart of a man
