How many tears
can a parent give
filling the seas
with all of their grief?

For those who know
such sorrowful horrors
there can be no reprieve;

And for fellow human beings
whose nightmares
parallel those horrible waking scenes
how can they not weep as well?

How can they not fill a well,
knowing that their growing
children could be
suffering
and/or
dying?
