May 2017
Untitled
At the edge of Summer,
The wind was frigid the night we met.
It was never my intent to hurt myself,
falling that hard for you.
Your eyes set to ****,
a smile so irresistible.
Why did you cast your charm on me?
Had me feeling emotions I never knew possible?
Opened myself up like a wondrous map,
only to get knocked down.
Destroyed beyond comprehension,
beyond economical repair.
I've not a regret - I can't possibly forget,
I only wish I guarded myself that much more.
You were an inferno,
and I was mercilessly burned by you.
