Poems
May 2017
All's right with the world.
Driftwood, basking,
in the early morning sun,
beside the stillness of
the water;
the day has just begun.
Warmness, creeping,
up my back and neck,
pastoral scenes abide,
at my call and beck.
Coots and loons, float by,
in a wet and dreamy landscape,
Jax and I are strolling,
it's our eight a.m. escape.
Cormorants speed by,
in fast and hectic flight,
bound for who-knows-where,
they're awesome in the light.
The walk is quite refreshing,
nature's face unfurled,
and today, at this one moment,
all's right, with all the world.
