She has a hard time
letting go,
a hard time admitting
what she already knows.
She gets walked over,
she still tries to be clever
for the sake of a smile.

She still loves him.
She still craves him.
She wants the best,
she loses rest.
He seems happy,
guts another hole in
her sunken chest.

She still likes him,
it's a joke really.
Catching her in passing,
makes her feel silly.
But she's just dashing
to see her grand--mother.
Spotted by the unknown,
he makes it known.
But she just wanders
in her little girl blue wonder.
