I can remember how I felt
Among the slush and mud beside us,
When our body heat mixed
And we intertwined like the branches of a tree
Twisting round and round
Each other
Like we never had any doubt about where we were meant to be.

I still remember when we kissed
For the first time.
And all the world around us
Made sense in rhyme.
And the moon in your eyes and the stars in mine,
We danced for two minutes that felt like a lifetime.
