May 2017
just so that you know,
i can see your fear and insecurity.
when i do,
i lean in and whisper, "disagree".
because
you don't know yourself,
the way that i know me.
when i encounter people, i have no fear. however, i notice the distance people keep, when encountering me.

we tarnish like bronze. becoming a different color, a shell of our own selves.
