When the darkness falls and the shades of evening surround me, I will consider his word and steadfastly meditate upon it. When the cold of the night cuts through me, I will seek out his wisdom and his spirit to comfort me. When the heart of the night surrounds me and the stars begin to fade, I will hold fast to his hand and stand upon his promises. In the night watch I will wait upon the lord, even until the morning shall come and renew me.
