Plastic tulips
For daybreak
read heartache,
for God's sake
let it go.
I know
I do know
I do know I know
that to let it go
will let me sleep
but there's a small part inside of me
that keeps alive a memory,
like the candle
remembers
the flame.
There is no memorial
no stone that I see,
just the meadow
where we used to play.
heartache
