it just never settled
scar tissue
beating within my chest;
let you never know healing,
let you never know rest.
scar tissue
tapping to a one-two-one-two-time;
you know it'll never be right,
you know it'll never be fine.
scar tissue
that was once called a heart:
we can't stop the bleeding
we can't restart.
