Despite it all, all that you have done;
Hurt my soul and crushed my heart,
And destroyed all that we had won,
As easily as one tosses a dart.

I still feel your breath on my neck,
I hear your whispers when I sleep,
I find I still desire you in this shipwreck
That I call my heart, and I weep.

You won't leave my mind alone,
I see you when I close my eyes.
For these sins, I cannot atone,
Even after our final goodbyes.

I dreamed of you again, you see,
All throughout the night.
Oh won't you set my soul free?
And end my eternal plight?
