Slow fuse
Years slow to pass but in moments are lost
fleeting memories, mementos we lose,
I try
how I try to hold on
but the pull of the present
Is strong,
and the weak seek solace in
some future only they see
Adrienne tells me,
that Jesus was a good guy who
never had much luck
which seems appropriate.
I'm in there hanging out
wanting to be
out there hanging on
the pull is still strong.
I guess I must be too.
