Think about how lucky
You are to be alive
Of all the cells that fought for you
And all of those that tried
To be the one whose winning side
Would tear itself apart
Into pieces of the cogs and gears
That finely tune your heart
With but a jolt of neuron spark
To set this brain in notions
Of an energized existenceΒ Β
Generating these emotions
Into Big Bang mind explosions
Of our conscious evolutions
While human nature chooses
Which of these primordial
Oozes always loses
But the fittest still refuses
Such a predatory force
Of inferior complexities
That pray upon its source
These survivors shape the course
Of the histories of men
By outbreeding the salvation slaves
That try to tell us when
And how we will be born again
Through idle transcendental
Like all the other dying suns
Who dwarf their true potential
Super nova existential
All the stars they could explore
In a universe of galaxies
Expanding from the core
But still we just want more
And so we settle for a lie
When life itself is not enough
For those afraid to die
