Nothing in the diary
no one tried to fire me
wish someone would wire me
a barrel full of cash.

In a town where no beginning
doesn't mean that there's no ending
but it does mean no one's lending
me **** all.

I shall remain sat on a pavement
making this political statement
until my eyes close on a sundown
in the town of no beginning.

pop that in your journal or
the Christmas coloured annual
it makes a pretty picture
to hang around my neck.
