Poems
Jan 2017
Their Earth
They grew within our ranks
Nurtured into strength
Turned traitor
Biting back
Chaining me to their ideals
They maimed my skin
Their strikes precise
Piercing pain,
Digging deep
To bleed my heart dry
The air filled with smoke
Choking my lungs
Aching arteries,
Poison pumped
To steal my breaths
The barrel pressed against my skull
******* on the trigger
Trip twitch,
Fated fuse
And they'd destroy me:
Their home,
Their Earth.
