The Tide
I walk in only to find out the water is cold and damp.
The sun has gone down and the clouds blocking this infinite universe from my eyes.
My sight shows me nothing but the darkness and the cold water I'm standing in.
The shore disappears.
I Start thinking
You know as we all do when we are alone.
But I think of a place darker then where my feet are
This place there is no escape
This place lacks functionality
This place lacks positive thoughts
This place is my tide
Suddenly I'm ****** into the water
Tirelessly swimming trying to get air as the water drowns my lungs.
I'm trying as hard as I can but the more I try the farther out into the water I get.
I swim for what seems like an eternity and just moments ago.
I was on the beach with some
friends having a good time.
I'm drowning
I give up.
Letting it take me.
Then suddenly a hand grabs mine
Pulling me back to that shore that is now gone.
I feel comfort.
I feel love
I feel friendship
I feel the tug of tide on me
The tide pulls me and my new companion into the water.
We are both drowning now trying to reach out for help
This friend refuses to let go.
The tide swallows us whole.
She let's go of my hand.
When she let go was when I realized she could make it back to shore.
I...could not.
I've been drowning for a long time.
I've been thinking for even longer
I've been freezing in this water
I've been stuck in the tide
Soon I will be lost at sea
Then everyone wil be
In my tide
