An inn at
the end of a
path
lights adorning
blazing hearthfireย ย imagined
one traveler's de-light
trudging pain forgotten
in-sight at last
A glance
behind
a darkness thickens
lonely campfires burning
strangers disconsolate
dim visions and
dreams
the traveler must
turn
reversing her course
painful steps returning
campfires need tending
strangers seek comfort
and her
story.
