history repeats herself
kids these days think
the highways
are where the birds of prey live
they are too busy for us
these days
it took so much
it took so long
so many lives lost
fathers never seen again
mothers too
children too
these days it takes too much
too busy being white
too busy
silent
on the sidelines
funding the fight
these days it takes
schools
lawyers
judicial systems
to be white
these days it takes
a white house
3rd world
*** trafficking
to be white
these days
it takes too much energy
it takes sloppy cover ups
police bullets in blackness
these days
might as well
be the ****** blackness
shooting first
coincidental birth
right in hindsight
plain daylight
these days
it took too much to be white
it takes ****
white women willing to watch
news agencies
lies and makeup
rigged elections
worth it to them
it takes security
to be white
these days
