An old man stopped me on the bridge,
The one in the park over the pond,
And he asked how things were.
I was honest.
It was ugly,
It was angry,
It took a while for me to finish.
And he told me:
"You're much too young to be bitter."
He said,
"You need to focus on the future instead of the past."
I thanked him for his advice and thought.
Then I realized.
He was right,
But I'm not too sure I have a future to focus on.
