I walked away with you,
the road missing your feet, weeping.

I walked away with you,
and the gate, forlorn open, waiting.

I walked away with you,
and the dewdrops anxious, glistening.

I walked away with you
and the morning birds silent, brooding.

I walked away with you
and the morning mist hanging, silently.

I walked away with you
and the waft,chilly and clinging.

I walked away with you
and the sunbeam's radiance, dimming

I walked back with you
and lo, life comes back, brimming.

The road and the gate, sunshine and gale
Birds and the dew are all anew
Such is their joy on seeing you.
