Dec 2016
her arms placed wide were met
by
a
firm
slow
embrace
her head rested quietly at peace on
his
shoulder
sore
from
relenting
defense
eyes closed she drifted into a quiet
place
free
from
all
fear
and
care
they clung to each other like dew to a petal
quietly
still
unmoved
alone
together
his war was now over her loneliness
filled
calmly
with
the
joy
of
eternity
