How do I love you let me count the ways,
stealing lines for amateurs so give Shakespeare his plays.

I love you like the corn the breeze,
like wasps the fruits of laden trees
and flowers sought by courting bees,

I love you.

I love you like the ebb needs flo,
like forests need the sun to grow
and you're the rain in my rainbow,

I love you.

I love you like a child and then,
like you've never known from other men
and If only you could my heart ken,

I love you.

I love you like a silent night,
like hearts with wings first tasting flight
and every time you hold me tight,

I love you.

so do not ask why nor fret or cry
nor let your doubts in words now fly
just know that all alone I'd die

because

I love you.
