Who are you that floats above me as I sleep
Who pulls back my skin and cuts through muscle and bone
Leaving me exposed
You swim through the lust of my heart
And the blood of my tears
You sew your fingerprint on the fabric of my dreams
Carve your name into the walls of my soul
Constructing a labyrinth and laying down a string
Leaving at the entrance
A note and a map and your heart
The note is written in the blood of a golden honey bee and signed with a kiss
The map is still wet with the colors of your eyes and an X that marks the spot where your love will be
And your heart humming a song of Shangri-la
I take a two steps back and then fly foward and over and into madness
And fall into the promiscuous
red promise of your lips
