Never be like you
To my mother,
I could never be like you
I'm too untame and wild
Stubborn and selfish
Ever since I was a child
I'm foolish
I can't hide my anger
I can't hide my distaste
I don't care about slander
I don't plan ahead
I'm harsh and rude
I can't hold my tongue
Bitter and crude
I run away from my troubles
I find it hard to forgive
Even the smallest things
I can't forget as long as I live
Mother, I'm impatient
Rude and arrogant
My faith wavers and falters
I'm anything but eloquent
Mother I have your eyes
And your nose
I don't have your patience
And heart of gold
We disagree on many things
Mother, we don't get along
But know that I love you
With you is where I belong
You make my heart soft
My faith strong
You're my mum
Remain with me lifelong
