Oct 2016
Street lights shine on a familiar backdrop
Shadows retreat into cornered confines
Left only to observe

Crash course tendencies finally illuminated
double takes for a familiar stranger

Mouth movements say embrace me
a momentary relapse of insanity

Caught weak with loneliness
I accept this perception
I embrace it's physical nature
I feel it's calming shade
Everything makes sense again

Maybe the answers came on to strong causing this perception to abruptly fade

Maybe this body was never real

Made up of patchwork flesh and nonsense anatomy for motions sake

I came back for a nostalgia trip high on preconceived notions

I'm left choking on the remnants of a life that was left for obscurity
