Today optimism has opened my mind
I have seen first hand
God has a purpose for mankind
At times it may seem as if we have gone astray
If only we join together
Help one another
We can keep it from going this way!!
I see the elderly at the nursing home
Wanting desperately to help the Veterans
Who have become homeless as if they were unknown
Out of all whom they had asked for charity to give
To the homeless Veterans the Tornado Victim charity did respond
They did understand that these Veterans  were
The ones who stood for our defense
Once upon a time when bad times seemed to make no sense
They fought for our lives
Now they seem to be forgotten
While we live in our day to day strife
Perhaps those who have lost
Are truly the ones who have been found
If we all strive together as one
America will once again become strong
In a class that is renowned
Freedom in Christ will once again be found
