Poems
Jul 2016
Sunday in Stratford
From under the bed
two eyes pop out
red
a long stringy tail
a boat
with no sail
my toy box is crammed
with unusual things
rammed to the top
with what Santa brings.
I thought it was Christmas today
raining outside and
snow on the way.
But I'm awake now and know
where I am
a breakfast of toast and
strawberry jam
a *** of tea
two cups
only one for me
she
likes tea as well.
