ONCE UPON A RHYME
lived a man who wrote
with his heart
never fearing the worst
of any poem he'd start
This man would compose
day and night
to feed his inner beast
and if a well turned phrase
was a meal
a completed great poem
was the feast
ONCE UPON A RHYME
the man wrote in love
he sought to capture
all life in true essence
seeking praise from above.
