Words sit on tip of tongue
Afraid to speak
Knowing it'll come undone

Alien feeling coursing throughout
Nerves a wreck
Knowing it's coming about

Mouth opens up
Words spill out
Faster than logic can scream or shout

Breath is taken
Tables now turned
Waiting in anticipation for words returned

Contemplative look
Becoming decisive in a blink
Words spill out, hurt here reigns

After all said and done
Together they stare
Phrases still ring the air

You, want, only, no
No, other, never
They both want to go

One tries to leave
the other stops them mid-step
Words were spoke, now regret

Hold onto me
Eachother they croon
Go back to safe cocoon

Words were spoke
Not soon forget
Trepidation now root...
We are not together but do not leave me.....
