This is the journey
we don't want to make,
we all have to take,
all unprepared with
that ache in our hearts

but if the destination is the point of the journey
there'll be celebrations on the other side.

There's a beginning at the end of it
and new starts that blend
in with it

I hold that bit between my teeth
as I cry.
