May 2016
The allure of power and status
Is so attractive to the ordinary human
That it will often lead one
To say and do things
One would not otherwise say or do

Our inner lives are immortal
And to betray our true essence
In pursuit of such goals
Will create a legacy
Borne heavily
Like the chains
Of Jacob Marley
