May 2016
big eyes wider than a full moon
or a plate of milk
instantly appearing to change
into white seas
of no boundaries or
moon cheese , take a bit of me
and savor the tang
the smell
the sharp knife cutting into smaller
bites
while the griddle makes fritters
in hot spattering oil
and we are hungry and thirsty
and bereft of
dandelion greens and turnips
or last night
