She opens to hold me in cryptics she
told me on hieroglyph walls
that close in on me.

princes for palaces and birds in the sanctuary,
Alice and Robin are coming for tea.

Cucumber sandwiches sliced ham with aubergine
all in the dreams that I see.

Christopher wants more of her
Alice doesn't want to share,
not until the bells ring
not until the wedding night.

Pictures in the biograph,
revolving screens that
make me laugh
I can't be concerned
with the matchings.
