To walk by the shadows lit,
Seems unwary of the open pit.
To fall is a premonition of hate,
But to stand up takes courage and a leap of faith.

To walk by the sandy dunes at noon,
We'll be blinded, not now, albeit soon.
To endure the journey isn't probable,
An oasis of hope is indeed favorable.

To walk by the hanging bridges,
Indeed tough, considering the broken pieces.
To pass means a choice between life, death, and crutches,
Hold on tight, and we'll be dauntless.

To walk by life is the greatest of them all,
   With challenges, everyone isn't tall.
To give up is nothing but cowardice,
Remember, you are the victory's missing piece.
The poem was created by this author last February 4, 2016. It is done for just an hour, while taking an examination to the author's major course in his BS Chemical Engineering field. Having the passion for writing, he still managed to create a poem rather than come up with a definite answer to the exam.

At least, the author tried. He may not be able to ace the exam well, but he created a piece that sums up what he feel right into the situation.
