Ethereal spirit guide my soul,
For I wander lost in this mortal coil,
Give me strength for days I toil,
Staggering listless, like new born foal.

Cosmic torches, light my path,
My mind is numbed by fear fuelled ire,
Darkness quenching my inner fire,
Crushing me mentally with its wrath.

Travelling the universe, its dimensions vast,
I feel I'm tumbling, confused and lost,
Tormented by some demon I've crossed,
Always alone, from society, cast.

I need some place to rest my head,
Drifting aimless, direction unknown,
My rambling becomes monotonous tone,
Hoping to get there before I'm dead.

My 1st new poem in quite a few months.  A slight change in style, an experiment in trying new forms.
