We are all waiting for something to happen,
Someone to text us and ask us out,
Someone to tell us that they we are beautiful.

We feel lonely in our own company,
We feel this heaviness in our heart,
We wish someone would hold us and tell us we make a difference to their lives.

We are depressed souls
We are burnt out, waiting.

Fairy tales were all lies
We meet so many people
But none of them do anything to us.
None of them make us go 'he's the one'.

I keep looking at other couples
And wonder how happy they must feel,
Being with their one and only.
