When we see flies, our usual tendencies,
Are to only appreciate our ability,
to smash those unfortunate
With a rolled up newspaper

The gift of flight
Overlooked
While we remain grounded

Witnesses polarized light
Ignored
While we remain blind

What's the truth about flies
when they are near?
Reminders of death?
Is this what we truly fear?
