Concretely, you are gone
I am generations later
Reading Your thoughts, Your works.
I am grateful!
You give me literary sustenance
And pleasure,
Inspiration and insight...
Thank you, writers from the past!

I want to do the same,
Leave something behind...a picture,
A song, or a piece of writing; something
Concrete and tangible for posterity...
And
Will someone like me, who is still
To be born
Look over my works when I too
Are
No longer concrete?
