The wings on my back
Are cut away
By kitchen knife
Veins of royal blue
      ink of you
Are an
Ocean's
Pull
/
I sleep
Walking again like a deer through the Orange groves
And on the banks of C-24
Wandering in dark
Knowing not time's ache
Down old paths
Beneath all stars
I go alone drunk on soil scent
Twenty three as I should be
I run and don't know why
Carrying a burden I do not understand
