Mar 2016
As the night blooms
into starlight and moonbeams.
I feel you fold into a ball behind me.
The darkness falls into shadows.
Reflecting on the white sheets of our bed.
And I feel your silent tears.
They fall like raindrops
If it was sunlight you would
arc a rainbow with their flow.
But it would not be for me.
The music playing in your heart
Is orchestrated for him not me.
I feel the palpable sadness of you
And I know in quiet resignation
That you must leave me
because.....
I can never be him.
