For what do I wait
The truth never told
Deaths icy fingers
Or a lovers embrace

The petals of wilting flowers
Around my feet they do fall
Unemotional,  I do not care at all
For my grave will be  adourned with no hearts at all
Loneliness and despair over my body does sprawl

From the depths of my soul can you hear my heart call
Please save me
And take me away
You got to listen closely
My lips won't utter the words
Only someone real special
Who connects with my soul
Will be able to save me
From death and destruction
And break down this fortress
I built to protect me
Life has been cruel
And I find that it hates me.

So what do I wait for
Deaths Icy Fingers
Or A lovers Embrace
