It's a maddening thing...
It's a maddening thing,
the breezes of the early Spring;
the pollen thick, you cannot see,
you're knocked out by your allergy.
The constant drip from your nose,
the weeping eyes, the tearful flow;
the coughing, and the sneezing,
inside your chest, you're wheezing.
Your mouth is dry from breathing,
cause your nose is plugged and seething;
your sinuses are clogged,
you feel like you've been flogged.
Comes the night, and you can't sleep,
the blankets round you, one huge heap;
then low-grade fever and the chills,
you've taken too many ******* pills.
Now your up, in the old recliner,
hoping things will get much finer;
alas; now you don't know what to do,
maybe it's the ******* flu.
