Another protester Is on deck As the speaker Sprouts familiar rhetoric He’s not appealing to The crowd’s intellect He’s provoking them I would suspect
And he’s selling them His impossible dream And the more he promises The more it seems They become undone At the seams As he wraps up His time-worn themes
He’s gonna make America Great again Hear his dog whistle Calling all white men Who’d like to relive The past again And if they can’t relive it They’d just as soon pretend
Now he doesn’t mind Who he alienates He plays the dozens And he hates Insults opponents At debates And when he’s trapped He puts on skates
