If you stop and pay attention
There lies an element of vibrance
In the souls of caged men
No one lets them in
It’s a sin
With a layer so thin
Alive underneath their skin
Disarm me with your ability
To believe in me
To see past the optimism
To tear down the pessimism
To end the skepticism
And love my simple complexity
It’s more than most can see
A new kind of alluring
And I’m set free
